What makes the Heirloom Book different from other albums?
The Heirloom Book is the only non-layflat, high-capacity book in our product range (max 200 pages) and is printed with four-color digital press (CMYK) technology.
Often referred to as a "coffee table book" or "hardcover book", it features magazine-style pages that are specially designed to showcase individual images on each page, allowing each image to stand alone as a work of art, encouraging thoughtful viewing without visual clutter.
Heirloom comes in 2 styles:
- Heirloom Book - the original fabric-covered version.
- PhotoWrap Heirloom Book - a special full-wrap photo cover version available in select sizes.
What kind of photography best suits the Heirloom Book?
This book beautifully complements styles such as:
- Bright and airy
- Light pastel tones
- Film or film-like edits
- De-saturated or low-contrast images
It’s a favorite among photographers who love a soft, timeless aesthetic.
What paper is used inside the Heirloom Book?
We use Pergraphica High White Rough – a premium, uncoated book paper with a lightly textured, satin-finished surface. Its high whiteness and increased bulk create a refined, tactile experience, perfect for high-quality prints.
- Thickness: 150 gsm
- Finish: Tactile, refined, and elegant
- Eco credentials: FSC® certified and environmentally conscious
How many pages can I include?
- Minimum: 40 pages
- Maximum: 200 pages
- Starts on the RIGHT / ends on the left
- PAGES are individual page-sides, not the same as the term "spreads" that we use for other album types.
Can I design photos across two pages?
It is not recommended. As the pages are pinched in the center, creating a "gutter" in the middle, we do not recommend designing images across two facing pages as some portion of it WILL BE LOST in the middle.

Tell me about the vellum page option.
A translucent vellum page is available at the beginning of your Heirloom Book. This soft, semi-transparent insert adds a dreamy reveal to your opening image and elevates the overall experience with a luxurious touch. Choose your look:
- No Vellum
- Plain Vellum
- Printed Vellum
Printed Vellum shown below. We recommend keeping it simple with plenty of space from the edges because exact centering can not be guaranteed when you account for both binding and trim affecting the edges. White areas in your image will not be printed with ink, but instead will be the translucent paper. This example was produced from artwork featuring black text on a white background.
